They double-dog-dared me

On Saturday, I went to Science Art & More near 65th and Roosevelt — which is a great store if you’ve got a kid who’s interested in the aforementioned. While buying a flu bug (don’t ask) and some petri dishes, I saw these snacks for sale by the register:

And because I have trouble saying no, I tried one:

Just for science, I bought a box ($1.79). They taste like something you’d find in the dregs of an ancient bag of pork rinds and won’t be replacing Cheez-Its in my repertoire of snack-favorites anytime soon.

So tell me: What’s the strangest snack food you’ve ever eaten?
