I do — use these wedding gifts. You?

Today in the Seattle Times, Karen Gaudette takes a look at hot-selling wedding gifts . Meanwhile, I took a look back, discussing which among my kitchen-worthy wedding gifts continue to get a workout more than a decade after I said “I do.” On my list were registry items like these broad white bowls, used for everything from soup to prep:

And this cheese knife from Sur la Table (thanks, Ev!), often used alongside this elegant glass plate from a Granville Island gallery, chosen by my friends Caroline and James from Vancouver:

Seen here are my two most well-used wedding gifts. Interestingly, both are gifts from restaurant critics. The stainless steel olive-oil canister (handy, utilitarian, registered for) is from former P.I. restaurant critic Greg Roberts. The brass spice grinder at left (sorely in need of an application of brass polish) was a surprise from former Seattle Times restaurant critic John Hinterberger:

So, which wedding gifts are your “gifts that keep on giving”? And which did you write a lovely thank-you note for — then promptly return or regift?
