Yesterday, like a lot of Americans, I had the day off to celebrate Martin Luther King Jr. Day. This year, the day had special significance for many of us, nationally and locally:
Monday wasn’t actually Dr. King’s birthday, of course: MLK was born on January 15th. But was my birthday. And a milestone, too: big enough to warrant an invitation to an exclusive club:
And now, in celebration of a week filled with celebrations — including plenty of inaugural action in the other Washington — I plan to celebrate by eating a couple of bonbons. . .
