All You Can Eat

Trend-setting restaurants, Northwest cookbooks, local food news and the people who make them happen.

September 4, 2009 at 10:34 AM

I’m off on assignment, but will stay in touch here via Twitter

It’s that time of year when I head off on assignment for our Pacific Northwest magazine. Unlike my courageous colleague Hal Bernton, I won’t be heading off to blog from Afghanistan: I’ll be safe and sound, eating my way around town. Which, as I explained in this retrospective blog-post (with links back to my Dining Out covers beginning in 1999), is nice work if you can get it. I’ve got to say it’s hard to be away from the blog — especially as food news breaks and I’m otherwise employed. That’s one of the reasons I’m a Twitter convert — despite my initial reluctance and lengthy learning-curve. So between now and September 21, if I hear something you need to know (or just want to chat) I’ll be in touch via the quick-shot social network with updates visible right here at All You Can Eat. Talk soon!
