Food TV Spotlights Seattle’s ‘Best Sandwich’ and Chefs

Our two MasterChef contestants aren’t the only Seattle presence in this season’s crop of reality food TV shows.

First, there’s the rumor that the next season of Top Chef will be filmed in either Seattle or Portland.

In the definitive department, we’ve got Thierry Rautureau of Rover’s and Luc competing once again on Top Chef Masters, which premieres July 25. The Chef in the Hat is competing to win $100,000 for the charity of his choice, Food Lifeline.

On the Travel Channel, Adam Richman will feature 30 sandwiches from around the country on “Adam Richman’s Best Sandwich in America” series, which premieres tonght, June 6 with a look at the Northeast and the Gulf Coast. Seattle was tapped for an episode airing later in the series, for Salumi’s oxtail sandwich. (No argument, but we think the city deserved a second spot for Paseo’s.)

Looking ahead, in September, Tom Douglas will be joined by Matt Dillon, Renee Erickson, Holly Smith, and Jerry Traunfeld for what we’re told will be an episode of a new farm-to-table show by Devin Alexander, the Great American Chefs Tour.” (The episode was filmed at the Palace Ballroom last week.)

Heard of any more that we missed? Please add them to the comments while we catch up on former Seattle chef Ty-Lor Boring‘s escapades on Top Chef Season 9.
