The return of Nancy Leson!

When people tell me they miss Nancy Leson, I say “Hey, what about me?” Meaning, you think I don’t miss my own favorite food writer, the one I loved reading in the Times even when we were technically rivals? I’m so pleased to say that Nancy’s back from leave and back in The Seattle Times. You’ll find her new column Sundays in Pacific NW magazine — the first installment’s right here, where she’ll also tell you about the other projects she’s got going. Look for her also monthly in Friday’s Weekend Plus entertainment guide. I’ll still have the food news of the day over in this corner of the web page.

Other good news: A crop of other fine writers and chefs have new cookbooks headed for the shelves this fall. Look for an update later this week on some of our prime picks.
