Also, the episode with Maria Hines and Holly Smith has been moved to a later date: 12/12 at 1 p.m.

On radio, Tom Douglas and Thierry Rautureau always sound like they’re having a great time together. The life of the party, these two. It’s no surprise, then, that their banter translates well to television.  You can check them out on the premiere “Moveable Feast with Fine Cooking,” a 13-episode series on KCTS.

“Moveable Feast with Fine Cooking,” hosted by Pete Evans, features celebrity chefs shopping at butcher shops,  goat farms, Chinatowns or hitting the outdoors for their bounty and then cooking at someone’s house (more like rented kitchen space). The show focuses on the farm-to-table mantra.

It’s no surprise producers chose to lead the new series with Douglas and the Chef in The Hat. The two are old hands at this game. They seem more comfortable together than a lot of other chef pairings, talking smack while prepping  and bragging about who won their fishing derby. (Check out the sweet antique pepper grinder Rautureau shows off while prepping.)

Dishes they make on the show, including recipes: Charred Squid Skewers on Garlic Toast with Arugula,  Mac and Cheese Salad with Buttermilk DressingSand Dabs with Warm Garlic Parsley, and Red Wine Vinegar Dressing and Dungeness Crab with Harissa Aïoli and Grilled Vegetables

You’ll have to stay up late, though, or set your DVR for this Thursday at 12:30 a.m. In the 30-minute episode, the two celebrity chefs go crabbing and fishing off Shilshole Marina, shop at Pike Place Market and then cook up the feast.

They won’t be the only local chefs featured in this cooking series. Maria Hines and Holly Smith will have their turn behind the camera on Nov. 28 at, yep,  12:30 a.m.  Andy Ricker of Pok Pok of Portland will also be featured in one of the episodes.
