Hawktails recipe: The Maple Caper

The Maple Caper
by Cale Green of Sun Liquor

1 ounce Sun Liquor Barrel Aged Rum
1 ounce bourbon
1 ounce Grade-A maple syrup
1 ounce heavy cream
Whole egg

Combine ingredients and shake without ice or whisk them together to consolidate (at least 20 seconds). Add ice and give another long shake (at least another 20 seconds) to chill. Strain into a flip glass or chilled double-rocks glass (about 8-10 oz), garnish with grated nutmeg, and enjoy. Optional garnish: edible gold leaf.
