John Howie’s Eastside restaurants have long been hangouts for Microsoft employees. Now they won’t have far to walk to find one. Howie now has an eatery on the company’s Redmond campus – unlike most other options there, it’s a sit-down restaurant with table service.

“In.gredients,” the most upscale offering on the campus, serves seasonal 3-course fixed price meals that rotate every three weeks. Howie’s team said he was approached by Microsoft and Compass Catering to develop the project. One recent $15 lunch offered an appetizer choice of ahi or cream of porcini soup, entrees including braised short ribs and green curry vegetable stew, and either a savory salad or a pumpkin pie creme brûlée at the end.

Howie also runs Seastar and John Howie Steak in Bellevue, Sport in Seattle, and is planning a brewpub and distillery in Bothell. A Seattle branch of Seastar is scheduled to close Jan. 3.
