SNOQUALMIE ICE CREAM RECALLED: Listeria was found at the Snoqualmie production facility and in some tested ice cream. Because Snoqualmie makes their ice-cream base, Molly Moon’s and Full Tilt are closed today. Also possibly impacted: any Snoqualmie-produced ice cream in your freezer. Find out how to check it. MORE>>>

MAMMOTH OPENS: This “beer and sandwich lover’s destination” opened Monday on Eastlake, where Hiroshi’s jazz-and-sushi spot used to be. It’s from the owners of Ballard’s Bitterroot BBQ, so it’ll probably be very tasty. As for the beer, Mammoth has 48 (!) rotating taps. MORE>>>

RACLETTE SEATTLE HITS STREETS: It’s a cart selling melted cheese in the Swiss tradition. Please park it in front of my mouth immediately. MORE>>>

500 EAST OPENS: The 45-outlet, multi-state chain World of Beers is gone on Capitol Hill, replaced by a locally owned pub on the same spot. Hooray! MORE>>>

THE BERGSCHRUND OPENS: Where the 2 Bit Saloon used to be in Ballard, it’s a new tavern featuring NW Peaks Brews. (A bergschrund in its original meaning is something to be avoided, unlike good beer.) MORE>>>

WESTERNCO DONUTS IN BALLARD CLOSES: The old-school doughnut standby’s last day is today, due to (of course) a new development. MORE>>>

AGRODOLCE HAPPY HOUR: Chef/owner Maria Hines is launching a super-cheap, twice-daily happy hour at her Fremont Italian place, Agrodolce: $3 food and drink specials every day from 4:30 to 7 p.m. and 9 p.m. to close, starting this Friday. Update: Here’s the new happy hour MENU>>>

BARS OPEN ON CHRISTMAS: Tan Vinh presents Seattle’s top 10 places to drink on December 25th after you escape the relatives. MORE>>>

NEW YEAR’S EVE IS COMING: And there’s a metric ton of places you can eat (and drink) out, should you choose to go that route instead of, say, crab and champagne at home. MORE>>>

2015 COOKING CLASSES: This series at Ballard’s Porkchop & Co. is taught by chefs including Carolin Messier of the Harvest Vine and Dustin Ronspies of Art of the Table, and 100% of the profits are going to the Ballard Food Bank and the Hunger Intervention Program. Nice! (And a nice last-minute gift!) MORE>>>

Merry whatever, everybody!
