Nearing 50, vital signs are good for Seattle Rep

Seattle Times theater critic Misha Berson writes …

When arts organizations manage to finish the year with a balanced budget it shouldn’t be news. But as a sign of the times, it is. So we’ll inform you that Seattle Repertory Theatre, the city’s flagship resident playhouse, has finished the fiscal year in the black and without an accumulated deficit.

“As we gear up for our 50th Anniversary next season, I am proud to report that we continue to be in very stable financial condition,” said Brent Johnson, current president of the Seattle Rep board of trustees. “We are so grateful to the community for supporting us and securing our position as one of Seattle’s largest and longest-running theatres.”
