Tiny Art Show: Dorothy Rissman

Today’s Tiny Art Show exhibit is hope-66x32[2].JPG a piece by Dorothy Rissman, called “I Get Up, I Fall Down, I Walk, Meanwhile I Keep Dancing.” You may think, hey, that looks like embroidery, which is exactly what it is — embroidery on construction fencing.

Rissman says that she takes “pleasure in the searching, looking, walking, and finding of discarded material. I particularly value my conversations with construction and work crews and other people encountered during my gathering.” (Thanks to Fetherston Gallery.)
