Look at that guy. Everyone loves him, right? Well, maybe not everyone, I guess (he’s a bit of a polarizing figure), but enough people adore Frank Sinatra that at least one performance of Seattle Repertory Jazz Orchestra‘s season opener, devoted to songs he popularized, is sold out.
“Evening with Ol’ Blue Eyes” will be presented at Benaroya Hall on Saturday, Oct. 29 — a few seats remain for that. A matinee has been added on Sunday, Oct. 30, at Kirkland Performance Center, to meet demand for tickets. The program promises “The big band jazz of Quincy Jones, Count Basie and Nelson Riddle, featuring guest vocalists singing their favorites in tribute to ‘Ol’ Blue Eyes'” and tickets, ranging from $15 to $39, go on sale at 10 a.m. today.
