First U.S. stop for ‘Elles’ exhibition: Seattle
Seattle Art Museum announces it will be the first U.S. stop for the French exhibition called “Elles” — 125 works by 75 female artists. (Nope, not a guy in the bunch. A partial list of the artists: Sonia Delaunay, Frida Kahlo, Dora Maar, Diane Arbus, Marina Abramovic, and Louise Bourgeois.)
SAM says the exhibition, brought in collaboration with the Centre Pompidou in Paris, is coming in fall 2012. Read a review of “Elles” from 2009, when it opened in Paris, here.
