This is the life of an arts critic. You love something; readers write to say they hate it. You hate something; readers once again point out your mistake.

This week, Seattle Times jazz critic Paul de Barros wrote a glowing review of a couple early performances at the Earshot Jazz Festival. And guess what? Readers … agreed! They strongly urge you to check out this three-and-a-half-week festival of music.

Don’t say we didn’t tell you …
