Joshua Bell returns to the PNW

artsjoshbell07.jpgArtsPage just wants to take a moment (don’t we need one today? Yeesh.) to salute the fabulousness that is violinst Joshua Bell. We all know the story of how he played on a D.C. Metro platform and no one recognized him, yada yada. Let’s move on. No matter the setting, Bell’s passion and presence make listeners breathe a little faster. He’ll play Mendelssohn, Beethoven, Issaye and Franck in Tacoma tonight. If you need yet more of Mr. Bell, see him Jan. 10 with Seattle Symphony at Benaroya Hall. How about Mr. Bell and his popular recital partner, Jeremy Denk? Their new album, “French Impressions,” comes out in January as well.
