Locals making it big in the arts

It’s a pleasure to note the local connections of two dancers who performed in the sublime program presented by Alonzo King LINES Ballet at Meany Hall over the weekend. David Harvey, who’s a knockout as the cruel homicidal despot in King’s “Scheherazade,” is originally from Bainbridge Island. Meredith Webster, who does dance-duet wonders with Keelan Whitmore in “Dust and Light,” is a University of Washington graduate who attended Pacific Northwest Ballet School and performed with Spectrum Dance Theater and Sonia Dawkins’ Prism Dance Theater before moving to San Francisco where LINES is based.
