Tiny Art Show: Ingrid Matthews Olson

Musically inclined arties may know Ingrid Matthews Olson from her work as music director of Seattle Baroque Orchestra, and as a violinist/recording artist. She’s a painter, too: “Especially instrumental music is really purely about the relationships between different wavelengths of energy: sound energy, sound waves. Abstract art is similarly about these interactions,” she says (shown here is her painting “Spacer”). An exhibition of her work runs through the end of the month at Art on the Ridge in Seattle.
