PNB wins Rudolf Nureyev prize

Pacific Northwest Ballet artistic director Peter Boal announced a bit of news on opening night of the company’s “New Works” program: PNB has been named as the second recipient of the Joyce Theater Foundation’s Rudolf Nureyev Prize for New Dance, a $25,000 commissioning grant. The funds will be used for a new work from Alejandro Cerrudo, resident choreographer of Hubbard Street Dance Chicago, to premiere in the 2013/14 season.
