The National Gallery of Art, that huge repository of art on the Capitol Mall in Washington, D.C., announces the launch of NGA Images, which allows users to “search, browse, share, and download images believed to be in the public domain.” That equals about 20,000 images. Each image downloaded comes with a handy “reproduction guide” and a file that includes all the details about that image. A sample image, downloaded in a matter of minutes at ArtsPage HQ, is below. Happy browsing!
