Anna Bolena and Prospero at your local theater

The Stratford Shakespeare Festival production of “The Tempest” with Christopher Plummer, plus Metropolitan Opera favorites like “Anna Bolena” are coming to movie theaters near you. The Met’s “Live in HD” opera broadcast series starts June 13 in area cinemas with a screening of the well-received “Anna Bolena”; it wraps up July 25 with “Der Rosenkavalier.” “The Tempest,” filmed at the Stratford Shakespeare Festival in Canada, will be shown one night only, on June 14.

Theaters that will show both Met in HD and “Tempest” include Alderwood 7 in Lynnwood and Thornton Place in Seattle, and Bella Botega 11 in Redmond. Complete list of theaters and other info here.
