“Taking Shape: Pilchuck Glass School in the ’70s” opened Aug. 15 at the Seattle Center Armory/Center House, and, as you might guess, the exhibit of glass is about the Pilchuck school in Stanwood and its influence. In illustrating Pilchuck’s early years, the exhibition features works by William Morris, Lino Tagliapietra and Pilchuck co-founder Dale Chihuly, among others. It also takes note of 2012 being the 50th anniversary of the studio glass movement in the Northwest. The exhibit runs through Oct. 15.
