Hear the fall classical season before you see it

Radio station KING FM 98.1 is devoting September to previewing the area’s 2012-13 classical music performance season on the air. From 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily, Sept. 1-30, the station will air highlights culled from upcoming performances by 30 Northwest music groups. From Sept. 1-9, for instance, listeners will hear works to be performed in the upcoming season by Early Music Guild, Seattle Chamber Music Society and Pacific Northwest Ballet. The month will include groups outside Seattle, too, such as Bellingham Festival of Music, Federal Way Symphony and Tacoma Symphony Orchestra.
