Cornish students’ work seen in NYC exhibition

“Russia Rising: Votes for Freedom,” an exhibition in New York responding to political turmoil in Russia, includes work by four Cornish College of the Arts students: Emily Firebaugh, Allison Hefely, Alexandria Lopresti and Derek Vander Griend. Posters by each student are among works by more than two dozen contributors in the show at the School of Visual Arts’ Westside Gallery. Other contributors include designers Yossi Lemel, of the Lemel-Cohen Creative Advertising Agency in Tel Aviv, and illustrator/cartoonist R.O. Blechman. (If you don’t recognize his name, trust us, you’ll recognize his work if you follow the link.) The exhibition is up through Sept. 22.
