Super-creepy theater, in time for Halloween

Sure, horror films are scary fun. But what about LIVE things going bump in the night right in front of you? That’s where theater comes in. Some hair-raising productions on stages around town this week:

–“The Skriker”: A tale of a shapeshifting being that is tracking teens in London…..not for fashion tips, though. At Erickson Theatre. Review here.

–“The Addams Family”: Not so much terrifying as mirthfully macabre. At the 5th Avenue. Review here.

–“Hellbilly”: Blood Squad, in collaboration with Balagan Theatre, presents a late-night trilogy of improvised horror films. Viewer discretion advised! Next show is Nov. 2. Info here.

(More improv, these on Oct. 31: “Triple Treat: Halloween Night Improv” is being staged by Unexpected Productions and “Cult” is on tap with Jet City Improv.)

–“Zombies”: Bellevue Youth Theater’s annual Halloween show is for the whole family — really! — and its final performances are this weekend. Info here.
