From Misha Berson, Seattle Times theater critic: The entire Seattle run of “The Book of Mormon,” the Tony Award-winning musical comedy by the creators of “South Park,” is sold out. But those yearning for a ticket to the blockbuster show still have a chance: At each performance during the two-week engagement (Jan. 8-20, 2013) at the Paramount Theatre, there will be a pre-show lottery at the Paramount box office, making 20 tickets available at the bargain price of $25. (Those chosen at random in the lottery can purchase up to two tickets). Entries can be made starting two-and-half hours before showtime, and lottery winners will be announced two hours before curtain. (Winners must be present at the time of the drawing and show valid ID to purchase tickets.) But get in line early: In other cities, lotteries have attracted up to 800 entries for a “Book of Mormon” performance. More info here.
