Goodness, aren’t we excited, as the Dowager Countess of Grantham might say (with one eyebrow cocked in a significant fashion). It’s nearly time for another season of the hit series “Downton Abbey.” Television station KCTS is helping fans celebrate with a preview screening of the first hour of Season 3, Episode 1, at 2 p.m. Jan. 5 at the Seattle Art Museum, one day before Season 3 kicks off on PBS. The preview screening is free, but an online RSVP is required.
The third season of “Downton Abbey” will air over seven Sundays with a two-hour premiere on Jan. 6 and will conclude on Feb. 17. Quite a few of us are waiting, it appears. According to KCTS, 17.1 million viewers (nationally) tuned in to the initial seven episodes of “Downton Abbey” Season 2, making it the most-watched PBS “Masterpiece” series on record.
