Seattle’s 5th Avenue Theatre really, really wants to introduce people to musical theater. So much so, that this weekend, the theater is giving away 2,100 tickets to a Feb. 10 performance of Meredith Willson’s brassy classic “The Music Man.” The performance will be part of the two-day “Curtain Up! A Celebration of Musical Theater” at the 5th Avenue.
The ticket giveaway is Saturday (Jan. 26) at the 5th Avenue box office, 1308 Fifth Ave., from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. while supplies last. Limit is four tickets per household. “The Music Man” official run is Feb. 7-March 10, and stars Seattle native and Broadway actor Noah Racey as Professor Harold Hill and Laura Griffith as Marian Paroo.
