Maria Semple and Nancy Pearl dish on ‘Bernadette’

Maria Semple

Author Maria Semple and book-booster Nancy Pearl will share the stage at Town Hall Seattle on April 3 to discuss Semple’s Seattle send-up “Where did you go, Bernadette?”

The epistolary novel chronicles the misadventures (and misdeeds) of a Northwest transplant who finds the region suffocatingly smug and politically correct. It’s now being made into a movie.

For details on the event, which is co-presented with the University Book Store, see the Town Hall website.
