From Seattle Times theater critic Misha Berson: The Sequim- based actress Carol Swarbrick, who has had featured roles at 5th Avenue Theatre along with many other stage and film credits, is unveiling her new one-woman show at the Port Townsend Playwrights Festival. Titled “Miss Lillian,” it is based on former President Jimmy Carter’s mother, Lillian Carter, whose colorful life as a nurse, civil-rights activist, Peace Corps volunteer and political matriarch is the subject of the play Swarbrick has created in collaboration with Richard Broadhurst. Next performances of “Miss Lillian” will be March 20 and 23rd at Key City Public Theatre in Port Townsend. More details: www.keycitypublictheatre.org.
