Bumbershoot rolled out its lineup of arts, theatre and writers today and among the highlights of the Words and Ideas programming will be the writers of “Parks and Rec,” which includes comedians Joe Mande and Megan Amram among others. Seattle’s Fantagraphics will host a a selection of readings and conversations with Jim Woodring, Peter Bagge, Ellen Forney, Eroyn Franklin, Danny Bland and Kelly Finch.

The full lineup is here.

The visual arts portion of Bumbershoot will feature Reel Grrls‘ “After the Riot“, with daily workshops, conversations, and performances. In between workshops and performances, Reel Grrls’ participants (youth filmmakers and performers) will screen and show their work.

Also showing will be “Magic Sync,” an interactive installation of music, light, and sculpture by Peter Lynch, Andy Arkley and Courtney Barnebe.

Among the theatre offerings will be Owl and Pussycat Theatre, physical comedy for all ages and NERDprov, which crosses the streams of geek culture and comedic improvisation.

The full lineup of music will be announced on May 2 at the Crocodile with a performance by Allen Stone. In addition, later in the summer the festival will announce lineups for Northwest comedy, national comedy, film and Youngershoot (the programming for children and families).

Advance three-day passes for Bumbershoot are now available for $99.
