The contest is over — for now

A big thank you to all the nice entrants (I’m still deciding how I feel about the snarky ones) who took a turn naming Mark Calderon’s lovely sculpture in the ArtsPage contest, which closed at noon today (May 31). We received so many entries that we decided to draw a second name and give a second prize…..those winners have been notified and are making plans to use their gift cards for Dahlia Lounge and Serious Pie. The correct answer was Lake Washington, and out of about 200 entries, all but a handful got it right.

Honorary ArtsPage prizes go to: the entrant who sent a map to support her entry, thanks for being extra-careful! To the entrant who wanted to be rewarded in martinis, thanks for making us smile! To the entrant who seems to have been, ahem, out on the town before submitting an entry, thanks for thinking of us late at night!

If you didn’t win, fear not! ArtsPage will host another contest next week, along with posts about arty happenings, of course, so keep reading. Follow us on Twitter, @seatimesarts.
