The hidden history of the Seahawks logo

Here at ArtsPage HQ, we say thanks to the Burke Museum for digging into the history of the Seahawks’ bird logo, created in 1975. The logo has been altered a couple of times to make it seem more current and more “fierce” (grumpy?) but no one has been able to pin down the origin of the bird-in-profile…until now. Click here for the history, and for a mesmerizing video that features a logo “makeover” by Coast Salish artist Shaun Peterson.
