Who’s your buddy? Announcing pet selfies winners

We asked you to send in selfies with your pets, and boy, did you. We got a great response with almost 600 entries.

After much deliberation, judges picked their favorites in several categories and then picked the top winner. Or, as we like to call it, “best in show.” Ashley Bowen of Gig Harbor and her horse Kismet captured everything we love about a great selfie — terrific smiles, spontaneity and perfect synchronization (not easy when you’re dealing with a horse).

Congratulations to all of our winners and a big thank you to everyone who entered. Petapoluza in Fremont was the sponsor of our contest, providing $200 in gift cards.

Read more about the winners.
