Machinists reject Boeing contract by large margin

By a resounding 2-1 ratio, Machinists have turned down Boeing’s contract offer, ignoring its threat to take production of the 777X elsewhere. Boeing immediately issued a statement saying “We are very disappointed in the outcome of the union vote.” It added that the company will “open the process competitively and pursue all options for the 777X.”
