A tidbit I didn’t mention in Monday’s story on Neal Stephenson: Pre-orders of his upcoming novel, “Anathem,” have already put it among the top 50 best-selling books at Amazon.com.
As of today, “Anathem” is 38th on the list.
(That’s not far behind another prescient book with local connections – the 23rd ranked “Sarah: How a Hockey Mom Turned Alaska’s Political Establishment on its Ear,” a Sarah Palin biography published in April by Kenmore-based Epicenter Press.)
Among Amazon’s science-fiction books, “Anathem” is the top seller.
Amazon also posted video of Neal Stephenson, including one where he reads from the book.
(Stephenson has a Kindle, but he’s shown reading from a paper version of his book …)
