PayScale scores Yahoo contract

Seattle job and salary info site PayScale today announced a major deal with Yahoo that will put its salary analysis and career search tools on Yahoo’s HotJobs site.

Specifically, HotJobs is adding PayScale’s salary and cost-of-living calculators, salary charts and its “GigZig” career exploration tool.

The 6-year-old Seattle-based venture claims to have the “world’s largest database of individual employee compensation profiles,” which it uses to provide information about current market salaries.

Maybe the Yahoo deal will help PayScale keep upstart Glassdoor at bay (or at least help Glassdoor negotiate a services deals with other big online jobs site.)
