Evri, Paul Allen-backed startup, opens up content tools

The public is finally getting a chance to try out the batch of Web content tools being developed by Pioneer Square-based Evri, which announced a broad beta release today.

Evri’s offering content widgets and profile pages — similar to the New York Times’ Topic pages, but they’re dynamically generated with semantic search technology instead of humans.

Chief Executive Neil Roseman, formerly vice president of technology at Amazon.com, surfaced the technology last summer at the D conference.

Also unveiled today was Evri Garden, a “technology playground” where “fans of semantics and natural language processing can directly interact with the same back end system Evri scientists and engineers use.” Now featured in the garden is Evri’s search technology.
