Seattle’s iCopyright wins national pitch contest

Seattle’s iCopyright won the FundingPost.com “Pitching Across America” contest.

The company was among 300 early-stage ventures that competed for “top emerging company” in their state. It was then voted the national winner by a group of 130 venture investors who judged companies on criteria including the “professionalism of the written summary, current stage of development, business model, competitive advantage, market need, feasibility of success,” the release said.

iCopyright will be featured on FundingPost.com and make a presentation at the Perfect Venture Conference taking place in New York on Nov. 3 and 4.

The company’s technology tracks and protects copyrighted content online. Customers include Associated Press, Reuters and the Boston Globe.
