“Community breakfast” on improving student access to tech

Partnership for Learning, an advocacy group backed by the state’s biggest companies, is is hosting a Dec. 4 community breakfast discussion of “how inadequate access to technology learning and training is limiting achievement and post-high school options for minority students” and how “schools, both locally and nationally, that are beating the odds and preparing all their students for success in the jobs of the future.”

Featured speakers are Technology Access Foundation founder Trish Milines Dziko and Jane Margolis, a UCLA researcher and author of “Stuck in the Shallow End: Education, Race, and Computing.”

The $35 event runs from 7:30 to 9 a.m. at the Madison Renaissance Hotel in Seattle.
