Obama inaugural “synth” from Microsoft and CNN

Microsoft and CNN just posted a “synth” of images taken by people attending President Obama’s inauguration, using Microsoft Photosynth to enable people to zoom around the event with their mouse.

It didn’t happen in real time – there was a nearly three-hour delay as Microsoft assembled the synth – and doesn’t include the great sounds and words from the event, but it’s still fun to explore the scene:
