Facebook party at Seattle office, ex-Google boss advising

Facebook announced that its Seattle office is being advised by Peter Wilson, a former manager of Google’s Kirkland office who earlier worked at Microsoft.

Wilson’s in an advisory role with Facbeook similar to that of Hadi Partovi, another former Microsoft manager turned startup entrepreneur.

Facebook announced last night that the Seattle office officially opened for business this week, at 101 Stewart St., near Pike Place Market.

The company’s having an open house/party on Aug. 25 but limiting admission — to people who can solve a puzzle posted on the site. It was created partly by two of the Seattle office’s first engineers, Shaheen Gandhi and Ramesh Vyaghrapuri.

Here’s the first part:
