Secret PopCap bidders: Disney, Microsoft, Zynga, video hints

PopCap Games hasn’t said anything about which other companies besides Electronic Arts were bidding to buy the Seattle studio.

But the company dropped a few big hints in a video shown by Chief Executive Dave Roberts, during his keynote speech at the Casual Connect conference in Seattle this morning.

A quick video showed a PopCap Zombie seeing how it would fit with different corporate identities — those of Disney, Zynga and Microsoft. The one that passed the test was a Zombiefied John Madden, a reference to EA and its blockbuster Madden franchise.

It may be the funniest M&A disclosure in history.
