Here’s just the thing to patch things up with your spouse, after you abandon them for “Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3” as the holidays approach.
It’s a special edition “Modern Warfare 3” Xbox 360 console that will brighten any living room’s decor.
It also makes special MW3 sounds when you power it on and open the disc tray. A spokeswoman described the noise as “the unmistakable sound of night vision goggles powering on.”
Microsoft announced today that it will begin selling the console with two matching controllers and the game on Nov. 8, the day MW3 goes on sale. The price: $399.
It’s also selling the controllers by themselves for $60 and a special “Modern Warfare” wireless Bluetooth headset that works with the console and Bluetooth phones and PCs.
The number of limited edition Xbox 360 consoles seems limitless this year. Also being offered are a red version for “Gears of War 3” and the white “Star Wars“-themed model.
I wonder if there will be a Cookie Monster blue version for the Kinect Sesame Street “Once Upon a Monster” game coming next month, to match the nursery.
