Ballmer: Live TV on Xbox this holiday season

ANAHEIM, Calif. — Steve Ballmer just teased live TV services coming to the Xbox 360 this holiday season, saying the company is going to increase the video content available on the system by 10 times.

Ballmer didn’t name new video content partners but said Microsoft’s drawing on the work it has done to bring live TV to consoles in England, Australia and France.

“News, sports, your favorite channels” are coming, he said, promising announcements in the next few months.
