Xbox update delayed, but Kinect bacon’s back

Microsoft’s Xbox group is having trouble getting the Xbox update today as scheduled.

But it’s worked the kinks out of its bacon delivery system.

Yes, the Kinect “wake up and smell the bacon future” recruiting campaign is back in business, handing out freshly fried slices to potential job candidates in Seattle tech hubs.

After its first appearance alongside Amazon.com headquarters in South Lake Union, the hot dog vendor hired to cook the bacon backed out, citing concerns about alienating customers at other tech companies.

So the Kinect team and ad agence Wexley School For Girls found another cart – G&G Dogs, which resumed the service. The cart was in South Lake Union again today until 1, and will return to Fremont – near Google and Adobe – probably on Tuesday.

Output’s up: The first morning the cart served up about five pounds of bacon. Producer Teddy Black said it’s up to 20 pounds a day.

A pic taken today with my greasy phone:
