Check out Facebook Seattle’s new hot tub

Here’s the newest conference room at Facebook’s Seattle engineering office.

It’s a meeting space with a hot tub – dubbed “Bubble Bobble” – that was installed yesterday. It kicked off a “hackathon” today in which employees are cutting loose and creating things, including additions to their new office on the northeast edge of downtown Seattle.

Engineer Philip Su set the bar high with the tub, which he found on Craigslist and had decorated by a graffiti artist.

At the landlord’s insistence, a hole was drilled in the bottom so it won’t be filled with water – just pillows for lounging and meetings on the 18th floor.
