Kirkland traffic-data venture Inrix is enhancing its guidance system as it steers toward an IPO.
The company today announced that it’s added former Microsoft Chief Financial Officer John Connors to its board of directors. Connors became a venture capitalist at Ignition Partners after he left Microsoft in 2005.
Connors is also on the boards of Nike, Splunk and Opscode.
Ignition has not invested in Inrix and Connors is serving as an independent board member.
Inrix offers a traffic data system that was originally based on technology licensed from Microsoft. The company now has more than 200 customers including Audi, BMW, Ford, Nissan and Toyota.
Last month the company reportedly lined up bankers for what could be a $100 million IPO in 2013.
