Bungie’s “Destiny” is becoming clearer.
The Bellevue game company today announced a public beta program that will begin in early 2014, ahead of the launch of “Destiny.”
The multiplayer online sci-fi action game being published by Activision for the Xbox and PlayStation is likely to be one of the biggest entertainment launches of the year.
“Destiny” is the first full game from the company that created the “Halo” franchise before splitting from Microsoft in 2007.
To participate in the beta, customers must pre-order the $60 game. Retail sites list the game as being released June 30 but a spokesman said the launch is expected to happen in spring.
