Tech enticement at Tesla showroom

Computers and software are becoming the most expensive components in a new car. They’re also a huge part of selling cars for Tesla Motors, which opened its fourth high-concept retail outlet Saturday at Bellevue Square. UPDATE: Tesla spokeswoman Rachel Konrad answered my questions, saying that the showroom itself will be ready “so that prospective buyers can test drive the cars and talk to our salespeople in a nice retail environment, but the service center is probably going to be ready in six weeks. That’s the part that requires more equipment and construction.”

As for the curb issue, she said the cars will enter and exit from another side of the building.
